Quantitative and Qualitative Research for a Management Consulting Firm

There’s a lot you can learn when you run a quantitative and qualitative research survey at the same time. When a large management consulting firm came to us to run the complex parallel B2B survey – we successfully facilitated it for our client.

THE CHALLENGE

A top-tier management consulting firm needed to execute a complex quantitative and qualitative research survey to establish the usage incidence of a certain customer management system software platform among small business decision makers.

WHAT WE DID

QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

ROI conducted parallel surveys – one using a broad, general population panel to validate the publicly available data on small business firmographics in the US market and a second using our validated business decision maker panel to generate the competitive market data for the software in question.

QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

Following the quantitative survey, the consulting team’s client switched direction and required a full work stream of qualitative in-depth interviews. ROI recruited twenty-five of its business decision makers from the quantitative survey over a two week period.

RESULT

Our client was able to support its client’s changing data demands, with both a complex quantitative survey and the in-depth interviews that supported the original findings.
